IBC supplier Cromar Building Products has acquired waterproofing repair brand Acrypol Products.

The purchase is the first time East Yorkshire-based Cromar, which has a turnover of £27 million, has acquired another business.

Acrypol was founded in 1986 to provide quality roof repair and waterproofing products for the trade. Its flagship product, Acrypol+, is sold into more than 2,000 stockists throughout the UK. The range has been expanded over the years to include a number of complementary products.

Mike Marshall, Managing Director of Cromar, said: “Acrypol is such a renowned name within our industry, it will make an excellent addition to the existing Cromar family of products.

“We are really looking forward to developing the Acrypol brand name further and consulting with the Acrypol specialists to develop even more great roofing products for the trade.”

Wayne Morgan, Sales Director of Acrypol, added: “Acrypol has more than 30 years of recognised excellence and we cannot think of a better company to take this brand to the next level. With the combined knowledge and customer base of the two businesses, the future is definitely looking bright.”

All orders will continue to go through the Acrypol office in Warrington.
