How to successfully integrate AI in your business
(Left to right) The first talk, hosted by Arti Halai (of ITV News fame) and featuring guest speakers Georgios Michalakidis (Perkbox Vivup Group), Aalok Shukla, CEO (Implement AI), and Ellen Bishop (Alcea Consulting Ltd), was designed for marketing professionals, leaders, and business owners eager to learn how to safely utilise AI to boost productivity.
The session brought together pioneers who have successfully implemented AI, learned from their challenges, and achieved significant success. Insights from these experiences will be explored in a future blog series.
Key highlights:
- “AI is here to stay” – an overarching theme and emphasis throughout the exhibition, as well as many talks, was the current ‘implementation and future of AI’ is here right now and here to stay!
- It was intriguing to observe the focus on AI as a means to manage routine tasks instead of a replacement for human workers. This perspective allows employees to devote their energy to more creative, strategic, and innovative elements of their roles, beyond the basic tasks that AI can effectively handle
- Aalok Shukla, CEO of Implement AI, provides a standout example of this concept, which we will explore in an upcoming blog post. He has effectively developed and deployed an AI workforce utilizing his AI Agents and an Intelligent Automation platform
- Another significant topic in the conversation around AI implementation was data governance, policy, and GDPR compliance. This discussion highlighted several key considerations, particularly concerning effective data governance and adherence to GDPR regulations
- Ellen Bishop’s reassurance regarding AI implementation’s alignment with existing GDPR policies was very enlightening. She emphasized that maintaining compliance requires similar practices, including obtaining user consent and fostering transparent communication. As a helpful suggestion, Ellen recommended designating an ‘AI representative’ within a company. This person would be responsible for overseeing AI initiatives, ensuring ethical standards, and upholding regulatory compliance
Pros/Cons of AI in the Workplace:
Pros | Cons |
Out of the box solutions Vs In-House Development | The loss of a human customer representative |
Fully customisable | Is it fit for all business types? |
Keeps up with the fast-paced working world | Reimagine/rethink; “AI is not authentic” |
A full integrated AI workforce that never rests | Expense of implementing cost |
We are already onto the next form of AI – currently it tells ‘how’, the next stage is ‘why’ | Overwhelmed mindset |
